Why Study in the UK?
The UK is home to 4 of the top 10 universities in the world and offers the most internationally recognised degrees globally. A UK Masters degree takes just 1 year compared to 2 years in the USA — meaning you save a full year of fees and living costs. The 2-year Graduate Route Visa allows you to work anywhere in the UK after graduation without needing a job offer first. London is the world's financial capital and a global hub for banking, media, fashion and technology. Indian students are the second largest international student group in the UK with over 150,000 students.
WHY NOT OTHER COUNTRIES?
Unlike Germany, all education is in English. Unlike France, visa requirements are straightforward. Unlike Canada, the UK has more globally recognised university brand names. Unlike Australia, the UK is closer to India — just 8 to 9 hours by flight. The UK degree is recognised by employers in India, the USA, Australia, Canada and the Middle East — making it the most versatile qualification you can earn.

COST OF EDUCATION
UK university fees for international students range from £12,000 to £38,000 per year. London universities like UCL, Imperial and LSE are at the higher end at £25,000 to £38,000. Universities outside London in cities like Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Sheffield offer excellent quality at £14,000 to £22,000. A Masters degree in the UK takes just 1 year — so your total cost is significantly lower than a 2-year program in the USA or Canada.
INTAKES AND SCHOLARSHIPS
The main intake is September. Some universities offer a January intake for select programs. Scholarships include the Chevening Scholarship (fully funded), Commonwealth Scholarships and university-specific merit awards ranging from £2,000 to £10,000. Many universities offer a 10% to 20% tuition reduction for early applicants.
EXAM REQUIREMENTS
IELTS Academic: 6.0 to 7.0 overall (most programs require 6.5) · TOEFL iBT: 90 to 100 · PTE Academic: 58 to 68 · GRE and GMAT are generally not required for UK universities. Some business schools may ask for GMAT for MBA programs.
